The Beast of Group B

Welcome, today I present you the first mod (Audi Sport Quattro S1E2) for an entirely new rf project: Ravenfield Rally (RFR). The project will focus on transforming Ravenfield into a racing game. The Audi comes with 2 variants: S1E2 and S1E2 Pikes Peak. It works the best with the RFR project maps.

2 VARIANTS:
  • Audi Sport Quattro S1E2 - 470 HP beast. It's the most powerful group B rally car. It was a further development over Audi Sport Quattro S1 (1984) and it made its debut at the 1985 Rally Argentina.
    - Drivetrain: AWD
    - Transmission: 6-speed
    - Acceleration: 0-100kph in 3.3s
    - Top speed: 220kph (135mph)
    - Debut: 1985
    - Livery: Audi Sport, 1985-1986, Walter Röhrl, Hannu Mikkola

  • Audi Sport Quattro S1E2 Pikes Peak - An even more powerful S1E2 variant with over 500HP. It won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1987.
    - Drivetrain: AWD
    - Transmission: 6-speed
    - Acceleration: 0-100kph in 3s
    - Top speed: 240kph (150mph)
    - Debut: 1987
    - Livery: Pikes Peak 1987, Walter Röhrl

Features!
  • REDONE DRIVING & DRIFTING SYSTEM - new redone driving physics trying to immitate rally car and make the car handling more complex and demanding (drifting script made by Ortort).
  • GEARBOX MECHANIC - entirely new mechanic with shifting gears (script made by ProfessionalDebil).
  • WORKING DASHBOARD - it shows your speed (in kph) and gear.
  • HEADLIGHTS - press "T" to turn them on (turned on by default when playing on night mode) (script by kikimundo).
  • BRAKING LIGHTS - red lights appear when braking (script made by DAI_QUOC).
  • DESTRUCTIBLE WINDOWS
  • EXHAUST FUMES - they appear when turning on the engine (modified kiki's script).
  • DUST - it appears behind the car.
  • REALISTIC CAMERA - 1st and 3rd person driver cameras react to accelerating, braking and turning.
  • NEW REDONE SOUNDS - almost every sound is new
  • CODRIVER MODE - you can use codriver seat and let the AI drive but watch out! It's fearless and not quite sober...

@BillyButter I'm glad you like it! Thank you! Sadly no time for modding now, but I want to come back to the project some day. Yes, I played a bit with the friction for the monte carlo, but actually I think I can change it even more.

The fact that you took a game like rf, designed to be a shooter game, and turned it into a pretty solid racing game is nothing but a demonstration of sheer will. 3 cars and 2 maps. Good variety. Did you mess with the friction on the snow map by any chance or did I not realise friction was low? Anyway, the snow map and the Finland map are very good and play very smoothly with the intended vehicles. Any upcoming maps or cars in the near future?
