Lily's Cathay DE Overhaul + Unit Pack

Sons and Daughters of Fair Bretonnia.... wait I mean Cathay! I present my first Major Non-Bretonnian mod, the Cathay unit pack and overhaul!

This mod is a rework of Cathay, adding new units and balance changes to enhance your dynastic campaign of the immortal empires.

This overhaul experience was designed to increase the diversity of the early game units, modifying buildings, units and technologies that relate to the use of Cathay's peasant units.




Definitive Edition Features:
• Changes to Edicts, Techs and Buildings, such as peasant recruit rank and recruit cost becoming province wide from the Yin and Yang Conscription chains.
• Changes to existing units, such as Sky Lanterns with a higher unit count!
• New units, Cathay Peasants, Nan-Gau Archers, Nan-Gau Executors and Militia Long Spears!
• New Building chain: Militia Barracks


New Units & Reworked Units:


Cathay Peasants
• Expendable chaff unit, essentially Peasant Long Spearmen but without the charge defence, bonus vs large and with less hit points and leadership.
• No Formation Attack.
• Cheap, affordable and easily recruited.


Peasant Long Spearmen
• New unit card.
• Reduced cost and upkeep.
• No longer has Formation Attack.
• New technology effect to reduce their cost.


Peasant Archers
• Reduced cost and upkeep but made slightly weaker.
• New unit card.


Militia Long Spears
• Recruited from Militia Training Fields
• Stronger and smaller in model count than vanilla Peasant Long Spearmen
• Has Formation Attack.
• Gains all the bonuses from techs and skills that effect Peasant Long Spearmen


Nan-Gau Archers
• Recruited from the Militia Barracks
• Stronger and smaller in model count than Peasant Archers
• Gains some bonuses from skills that effect Peasant Archers
• Longer range with high accuracy


Nan-Gau Executors
• Recruited from Nan-Gau Recruitment Office
• A small squad that empowers other units. This unit is not a front line fighter!!


FAQ
Q: Is this mod compatible with such and such mod?
A: If the mod alters Cathay techs, buildings and units then I cannot guarantee that it will work perfectly but this mod should be highly compatible! Please double check the mod on its own and verify integrity of your game cache before reporting a crash to desktop.

Q: Lily, are you going to add more units? Do you take requests
A: I'm more likely to revamp and edit the existing units than create new ones. I do take commissions for making separate mods, but I'm fussy with what I work on and I'm not as well versed as other modders with script/lua and many other aspects of modding.
