Tik’wiatto’s Tamers (Skink Cohorts) - High Rock Fables

Omschrijving

The first in what I’m hoping will eventually become a series of Regiments of Renown’s and Legendary characters of the Hero and Lord variety. They are units created by me and are made with an effort to be lore-friendly, balanced and unique. Feedback with balance and lore is welcomed.

I hope you enjoy.

Unit Summary:
A simple Regiment of Renown unit of Skink Cohorts that trade in their shields, armour and melee defence for extra speed, charge bonus, fire resistance and a heaving bout of Anti-Large. Use them to give single-entity monsters, mid-tier cavalry, war beasts and mounted heroes a bad day, but keep them away from standard infantry or ranged attacks.

Lore:
An emerging new variant of Skink came to be known as Orange Skinks, or Sun Skinks, distinguished by their tanned citrus hides, beaming like flame basked in the sunlight. They are the chosen of the Sun God Chotec, and unlike their more cunning and intellectual Sotek-marked counterparts, they are reckless, impulsive thrill-seekers to the core. This inner call for happening would bring them to what many would consider an unenviable task of hunting eggs for the Lizardmen’s monstrous ranks, but it was a task the orange-hided took with glee, and with their fast speeds brought on by the Sun God's blessings along with their brazen lack of second thought put them on a whole new level of successful results. However, when merely snatching the eggs from dangerous creatures ceased feeling exciting enough, they took it a step further, and became versed in jumping the mothers en masse and clubbing them into submission to join the Lizardmen ranks alongside their eggs as a whole family unit. The first to achieve notoriety was Tik’wiatto, who was among the earliest of their kind and the first Sun-marked to be born under the sign of becoming a Skink Chief. He would come to command a legion of his fellow Sun Skinks, a legion that would be known as The March of the Sun Tamers, and together he and his brothers would organize great monster hunts across Lustria and Southlands. The most seasoned veterans under Tik’wiatto’s command, who had become too used to the hunts and in need of more dangerous endeavours, would be granted the Chief’s blessing to venture out beyond their operations and instead join the theatre of war. Every so often, a band of Sun Skinks bearing the banner of The March of the Sun Tamers will find their way to an emerging or established Lord of the Lizardmen, and will swear loyalty in exchange for the chance to find new and exciting prey...

How to Unlock:

They can be recruited from the RoR selection when a Legendary Lord reaches level 7, by all major and minor Lizardmen factions.

Known Bugs:

-Their animations are a little buggy when viewed up close. They use Tiktaq’to’s unused footlord animations, which have some transition errors and looping issues, such as their combat motions or when walking. I know how to edit animation, and will come back to fix this at a later date when I better understand WH3’s animation bank system.

Alas - these were some of the best Lore modes I've ever seen. Shame to see them languish - I was in the mood for more fables
