British Rail Class 31

British Rail Class 31 Diesel Locomotive.

Updates:
Feb 2023 - Addition of 10 skinhead variants, assets now all have engine idling sounds along with exhaust, updated normal maps.

The class 31 was ordered as part of BR’s Modernisation Plan to replace steam traction.
A total of 263 of the class were built by Brush Traction and entered service between 1957 and 1962.
Members of the class proved useful as general purpose locomotives and saw use across most of the UK network.
Mass withdrawal of the class took place during the 1990’s and early 2000’s following their transfer
of ownership to EWS. By 2001 the remaining 31’s to operate on the national network were operated by
smaller operators. Today a total of 26 examples of the class are preserved.

A total of 18 locomotives (also available as track assets) are provided in the following liveries:

Within the Skinhead Pack a total of 10 locos are available:
- Loco green with full yellow ends
- BR Blue with silver roof
- Railfreight Red Stripe
- Railfreight Grey
- General Grey
- Network Rail Yellow
- Fragonset
- Transrail

Within the mod loading menu it is possible to switch on or off the Skinhead pack. When off it will not appear in the loco purchase menu. Default is on.
