Rakarth's Bestial Enhancements

As an avid Druchii enjoyer, I wasn't exactly overjoyed with Hellebron, Malus, or Rakarth's faction mechanics. So I've attempted to rectify the issue with Rakarth, and tried to keep it somewhat loreful and at least a little bit balanced.

What Exactly Does This Mod Do?

Within this mod you gain access to a variety of faction wide buffs to monsters, cavalry, and the wild critters that are recruited through the monster pens. The delivery system for this is through the Mortuary Cult (the same system used for the Tomb Kings and Dawi), allowing you to upgrade units or gain access to the followers and equipment it provides. For each of the groups of bestial units in the Druchii roster, there are 3 upgrades each. Additionally, most of these buffs also target the lords and heroes who use these beasts as mounts. The costs associated with these upgrades rank roughly not by tiers of the units themselves.

Some of the higher tier upgrades require specific resources to unlock, and the same goes for the equipment. These resources are generally easy to find in the Immortal Empires map, but if you are playing any modded maps (such as The Old World) then your mileage may vary.

On the followers and equipment, only Rakarth and High Beastmasters can attach the followers, but all characters can equip the weapons, armour, talismans, and enchanted items. The costs for these are relatively high, and meant give the player something (other than rushing construction and diktats) to spend slaves on in the later stages of the game, or to fill in some missing equipment slots. The intended power level of the equipment is probably somewhere between green and blue tier.

Updated for 6.3. Revisit expected whenever major updates happen.

French
This translation is likely incomplete as of 4.2 since the mod has changed drastically from the technology tree to the Mortuary Cult delivery system. It will remain here as some of the translation will likely still be functional.

Expanded Monster Pens?
This mod does not add units to the monster pens for Rakarth. However there is currently one on the workshop called Rakarth Bigger Monster Pen for WH3, so use that one if that's what you are looking for.

Please download this compatibility mod if you intend to use both Rakarth's Bestial Enhancements and Rakarth Bigger Monster Pen for WH3 mods.

Compatibility
Obviously anything that adds the Mortuary Cult to the Druchii is not going to jive with this mod, since it will likely cause display issues.

@ AllBravado , the beasts that are recruited through the monster pens (aside from Feral Cold ones because the Druchii actually have a connection to them) do have a small set of buffs applied in the Wild Beasts tab. Those buff all of the monsters you can recruit from the monster pens that you cannot recruit normally. Additionally, if you use the Rakarth Bigger Monster Pen mod, there is a compatibility mod linked here which will add those beasts to that same unit set for buffs.

Yes, I've just tried it yesterday with the bigger monster pen + compatibility mod and it seems to work just fine. :steamthumbsup:

@ Reuphraim Edelmann , the mod should work just fine, at least as far as I know there hasn't been any changes to the Mortuary Cult tables that would break it.

@ Moldy_Lunchbox321 , no problem. There is another small update I have planned for this mod in the not too distant future though (Soon™), since 6.0 added some new tags/tools I can make use of.

@ Moldy_Lunchbox321 , I don't add units to the monster pens through this mod. But if the expanded monster pen mod has added them then I'll update the compatibility mod for it as soon as I can get around to it.
