Hello everyone,
welcome to this mod page.

Formal information
Please make sure to read the following mod description and the informations below before you ask questions or request updates etc.
If you like the mod you are welcome to press the "thumbs up" button or leave your feedback in the comments.
Even if you don't like the mod you are welcome to give your constructive feedback.

Please only ask for update, when the mod is not working anymore or causing issues - not every game update requires a mod update!

Description
This unit pack is the combination of my both "Highborn Elves" mods and adds 15 new units to the high elven factions.

For the Highborn units you have to build a new building, which should be buildable in all major settlements, in order to recruit them.
The Lion Company units are avaialbe from the hunter-chain, the silver helm units are avaialbe through the barracks.
The "Guard of Lothern" is locked to the level 5 city building of Lothern.
Depending on the unit's tier their might be additional requirements for the recruitment but you will get it after you pay a visit in the building browser I think.

Current issues
- the portraits for the 2d-setting might be not correct
- due to CA's change of models and textures there seem to be some quality problems for the different distances
- balancing

Since I'm using a custom recolour/reskin mod faction and unit colours might differ.
Highborn units, the Decendents and White Lion Companies have a defined colour scheme which schoul not be overwritten by other mods.
Paladins and Guards of Lothern will use the faction/uniform colours.

All mods that I created and all these which may be created by me are free and will be free for all time. But complex or big mods mean many of hours spent modding and testing!

May I ask you to copy your messages as one block to the discussions, just put it feedback area.

At this point I can only try to maintaine my work, as I have a lot of real life stuff at to do.

Generally I appreciate unit ideas and it seems you forged it out quite well. But there is a bit more to it, like how to balance it within the hef roster or just make it campaign exclusive etc.

Sorry for writing this whole wall of text here, but it's just that your amazing unit mod really complements the high elves where they were lacking, so I wanted to ask just in case you would consider making this unit idea for me, as well as other wood elf fans who would love to play with such a magical elf unit. Also, if you are willing to pick this up, then I'd be more than happy to generously donate to your Paypal as appreciation, if only for all the amazing work you've already done for the community :)

The Barrier could simply be described as them using the air and earth spirits to protect themselves from harm. With the flames being blue flames due to the intensity of the heat caused by the rage of the spirits, even though this rage also reduces the accuracy of these attacks. Whereas the Ice Sheet is them asking for the Water Spirits to slow down their pursuers. With the bound spell intentionally being a weak one for balance.

This could be a Tier 2 unit that benefits from the same upgrades that the elven archer units benefit from. Thus making him an anti-horde unit with good armor piercing at the cost of range. And could be recruited from the Roots of Ghyran, the same buildings you need to recruit the Spellsingers.

Would you consider making a mod that makes a "Spirit Caller" unit for the Wood Elves? Which basically is a Flamer's of Tzeentch unit with the same stats; except that it has the Burnt! effect on its flames ranged attack instead of Warpflame, it has the Strider and Woodsman traits (because elves), and it no longer has the Daemonic trait (so it can be routed with its low Leadership) but instead it has 2 bound charges of the Ice Sheet spell (the wood elves have no synergy with Barriers like Tzeentch has, making these traits fair). Instead of the Flamers of Tzeentch model, you could use these models: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=2968920193 (the creator has stated in the past that these models may be used by others as well), and use their animations for the attacks and bound spell casting.

Also, I was wondering if I could make a request? You see, I love how in the lore the elves are supposed to have more magical might than the other races, but they don't really have an in game unit that can do magic attacks of the sort. Basically what the Flamers of Tzeentch can do.
