Empire at War: Remake 3.5 - The Old Stuff

It's finally here! With this De-Update, we now consider Remake a complete experience, but it is far from a finished product. Jokes aside, this the same total overhaul but running on version 3.5. For some reason this Moddb version is missing several planet and space textures. If you have a copy of the original Steam version please leave me a message and I'll update the mod.

BE ADVISED: This is a reupload from Moddb
This 3.5 is an old version of the old version. Moddb 3.5 is missing some key bug fixes but should still work as a very fun Star Wars RTS. I heavily recommend you also use the 3.5 Submod Overhaul along with this mod.

Instructions:
1. Subscribe
2. Right click game icon and press properties
3. Under General, in Launch Options, enter the following:
STEAMMOD=2833752282

If you are still experiencing a few broken textures try to turn your texture setting down by one. Shout out to the Remake dev who notified me of the fix. Thanks!

I would love to see an even earlier version. I recall several years ago it used to work with GC multiplayer - that was by far the most fun I ever had with this game.

As Kas said we used to go after reuploads like this. We've had the 3.5 reupload situation a few times now, and I can no longer remember why we keep playing whack-a-mole with it. If people really want to keep playing a years old version of the mod, feel free to do so. You're free to keep the v3.5 mod up here with my permission.

Man, reading a few of the steam comments reminds me why I stick to discord and never read anything on steam. So much hostility.

Geez... so much drama over a mod for a game that's nearing 20 years old..

If the devs specifically request that their mod be removed from the workshop, then I believe it should probably be removed. However, if they wish it removed, it would be prudent to reupload it themselves.

This matter, however, is far removed from my business...and has nothing to do with me. My above words are all that I will input on the subject.

Technically, all Star Wars related material is the intellectual property of Disney and its subsidiaries. Any derivative work such as 3d models, books/novelizations, art, images, names and so much more that relates to the Star Wars universe with any substance coming from that universe is subject to possible copyright and takedown, and or a cease and desist to the makers of said thing in question. So, be glad that all these mods are available.
