This is a total overhaul of the vanilla hairs. Where I saw any issues with the hair mesh, I fixed it. So, no more odd holes in the meshwork. My aim was to maintain as much of the vanilla styles as possible.

What comes to style changes, they are my personal subjective opinion which vanilla styles were in need of retirement. They went to Bahamas. Retired styles are: Oldman for females, Side Pony, Ark Haircut 07/10b and Ark Haircut 08/10a. For some reason the latter two both had two entries each (you can see short dreads and dreads pony both having the same retired vanilla do).

*Due to humane mishap I forgot the Ark 01 dos, so they are not filmed. Added them to the mod on V3.

NAMING CONVENTION

Some hairdos kept their old name, if it was ok enough. But if it had an immersion-breaking name, like Anime, or Elvish they got renamed to more suitable. Some hairdos did not have an unique name, so those got names.

REARRANGED IN LENGTH ORDER

All hairdos are now sorted into length categories and they are listed in the character editor window in this new order, making it easier to pick a style.

NEW VARIATION STYLES

Added a few variations in the mix, chosen by arbitrary fashion.

CUSTOM CHARACTERS/RACES

If your custom character uses vanilla hairdos, then load this mod after the custom character/race mod and you are golden. If your custom race needs specially sized hairdos, then you are out of luck, these fit only normal sized humans. Custom races won't have the new category order, unless someone makes a patch for them. But the actual hairdos will be available without patches.

LOAD ORDER, CONFLICT and IMPORT

Load after race mods. Does not conflict with anything. No absolute need to import, but import recommended as some characters may keep their vanilla hairdo otherwise.

DISCLAIMER

I do not own the rights of these meshwork. Only the dreads ponytail is my original work, all others have been modified from the vanilla meshes, the long and short dreads are licensed. So these can only be used in context of Kenshi.

Hello I am currently attempting to rework the hair system in Kenshi, combining many workshop mods so that hundreds of hairstyles show up in-game, removing duplicated meshes, etc..

To complete the mod I need to include your hair textures and meshes in my mod, may I have your permission to do this? FCS does not allow me to simply use your mod as a dependency.

PLEASE fix the damn hairlines why the hell do every hairstyle have a hairline at the back of their damn head.

How is it immersion breaking? the ancient celts would give themselves sonic hairstyles using limestone, so I'm sure people in the Kenshi universe could do it.

Very thankful for all your hard work creating all manner of fantastic mods and 3D assets! I'm trying to get into modding myself and I was wondering if it was okay to integrate this one into my own? I will of course credit you and link this workshop page. Again, thank you.

I absolutely hate the "sonic" hairstyle and i find it extremely immersion breaking, but it's not the main reason i love this mod, it's mostly because the ones you made are simply great, to the point that, for most of them, i want them to be UNIQUE. Meaning only belonging to the characters in my group and to some custom recruits i made. This made me modify your mod by re-enabling certain decent vanilla hairstyles and going through every single faction, assigning hairstyles. And the bloody sonic hairstyle is there again, rarer than previously, but still there, irking me more than before. Any ideas on how to get rid of it completely? I even changed the mesh to another one of the vanillas, with the same alpha rejection values and whatnot, and it SHOWS in the character editor too. Yet for some reason i still get the bloody sonic in random NPCs, and yes, your mod is the last on the load order list. Any idea on what's going on?
