Zizo Advanced Modular Engine Control Unit [ECU]

Leírás
This is a microcontroller that can run any modular engine, as long as you provide a air connection, fuel connection and a sufficient exhaust output.

A 1x1 monitor is also avaiable https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2974451528.

Features
  • Automatic starters
  • Automated RPS Control
  • Dynamic Air/Fuel ratio
  • Can handle sudden changes in air intake pressure
  • Temperature safety throttle decrease
  • Lightning and EMP safety mode*
  • Option for generator mode while at idle RPS
  • Optimal for any type of vehicle [Air/Sea/Land]
  • Fully configurable

*Lightning and EMP safety prevents the engine to shut down while loosing electricity. This only works if your engine doesn't rely on electric pumps (use impeller pumps) and will keep your vehicle running only if you are not using electric clutches (use modular engine clutches).

Installation
  • Connect all the logic nodes.
  • Open the properties panel and change the cylinder count.
  • If you have generator mode enabled, after the modular clutch you need other 2 conventional clutches, one going to your drivetrain and the other going to a generator. In this case also provide a constant 1 number to the modular clutch.
  • Enjoy.

Tips
  • 3x3 size modular engines are usually best even considered their volume and weight.
  • Cooling is very hard to achieve, I suggest using impeller pumps powered by the engine itself.
  • Make sure coolant is flowing into A port of the cooling manifold and not flowing the other way around.
  • Have the same amount of fuel and air manifolds.
  • Make sure you have enough exhaust manifolds so that even when running at full power the cylinders display "100% exhaust".

how do i change the RPS limiter Zizo@

Hello @bud, the reverse input in the PID is indeed intended. It wouldn't work the other way around if you think about it. Clutch needs to be at greatest with above target RPS, while normally PID redice the output value when it overshoots the target value.
Hope that makes sense. Feel free to contact me on discord if you need further help reverse engineering this :)

Hello there, I am trying to reverse engineer this ECU to get some inspiration for building my own version of it. I am confused by your usage of what appears to be a reverse PID for the clutch. Is it intended that the constant value clutch_rps is fed as the data parameter to the PID function? If I understand correctly, this will not only reverse the direction of the error but it will also kill the derivative term since the data point will never change.

My apologies to the author if they no longer maintain this microcontroller.

Hello @chadejohns, sorry for the late reply. Of course you can use this in your creations and publish them. I don't really care for crediting anyways but it is still appreciated.

can I use this in my modular truck, I will give credit

the ecu works fine for me, have it at default settings and no generator. I'm using 2 3x3 radiators and a 6 cylinder 3x3 engine

Having the same issues as @Ninjatorak , engine just randomly stalls at any throttle amount and it is not an exhaust or temperature issue.

does this ecu work on marine engines?
