Labe - Department store

Department store based on a real building in Ústí nad Labem in Czech republic. This pack contains a department store and a small monument also called "Labe". A store itself is capable of providing a great amount of goods, since its storage capacities are bigger than regular shops. Due this advantage, construction effort is a bit higher. Monument "Labe" is providing some loyality to your citizens. Both building are without collisions. [History]
The Labe department store is located in city of Ústí nad Labem in Northern Bohemia. It was built according to the design of the architect Růžena Žertová and was opened after the completion of construction in 1974.
The department store was established on the free area that was created after the destruction of houses during air raids at the end of World War II. Construction of the department store began in 1967 and ended in 1974. The department store was equipped with one of the first escalators of Czechoslovak production.

The Labe sculpture created by sculptor Karel Kronych is located in front of the building.

The construction was funded by the consumer cooperative Jednota. The renovation of the interior from large-scale sales to a larger number of smaller shops was carried out in 1995 in a demountable way, which did not interfere with the structural layout of the building.

At the beginning of 2020, the building appeared in the proposal for inclusion in the monument protection.
