PorkBean's Shimazu Clan

The Shimazu clan of Satsuma Province were for centuries one of the most powerful families on the island of Kyushu. During the Sengoku period, the Shimazu under the leadership of Yoshihisa and his three brothers launched a lightning conquest of their home island, defeating their rival clans and taking nearly every province in the region. In later centuries, the Shimazu were instrumental in the establishment of the Satcho Alliance that fought against Tokugawa forces and restored power to the emperor in the middle of the 19th century.

Tsurinobuse: Melee Units may choose additional Promotions that allow them to retreat from combat. +25% Production towards Gunpowder Units if you have an active Research Agreement.

Tanegashima Infantry: More expensive to build, but unlocks earlier at Physics. +50% Flanking attack bonus. Replaces the Musketman.

Ryugen-ji: +2 Science. Gain a burst of Science whenever a foreign Religious Unit is expended near this City. Replaces the Temple.
