Beskrivning
This mod adds the Date Clan, under legendary daimyo Date Masamune, the "One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu", to the game! Tame Japan's frozen North and build alliances to strengthen your position even further!

Requires Brave New World.

Date - Date Masamune

One-Eyed Dragon: XP Buildings respectively increase the Food, Production, and Gold of forestless Tundra and Snow. Building land units may spawn Farms on these tiles, and Naval units Customs Houses.

Nanban-sen: Unique Caravel for the Date Clan. Meeting a new Civilization for the first time will cause each Nanban-sen to produce a lump sum of Science, and meeting a new City-State will generate Gold per Nanban-sen.

Teppo-tai: Standalone Unique Unit for the Date Clan unlocked at Gunpowder. The Teppo-tai is a Ranged unit with 1 Range that may move after attacking and, while in Tundra, possesses a bonus against Wounded units. Teppo-tai are trained faster per active Research Agreement or Defensive Pact, and are obsolete with Industralization, upgrading into Gatling Guns.


Includes mod support for YnAEMP, UCI, Cultural Diversity, and JFDLC.

@Farfour; are you using the most recent version? That was something that was wrong with v1 since I had forgotten to plug in the civ's spy names (therefore hitting the Ren from Gunpowder meant trying to give spies with no names to pull from, thus the crash), but the most recent version shouldn't have any issues like that.

hey dude, my game crashes when i research gunpowder, I like the civ but this makes the game unplayable

Sorry it's me again. I found that I also get the bonus gold and science from Nanban-sen when playing against Date, so when he is an AI. Also, Nanban-sen cannot pillage improvements for some reason

Sorry about that, that was a bit of an oversight on my part! I've just updated the mod to v2 which should fix that, though it would require you to start a new playthrough instead of the one you started with v1, assuming you didn't finish your playthrough already.

I wish the UA didn't replace great people tile improvements, I just had an academy overwritten by a farm, really frustrating. The civ is amazing though absolutely thrives in tundra and has truly strong and fun units. I wasn't able to test the science gain from the Nanban-sen however, since even after actively avoiding exploration, the other civs still found me before I could build any Nanban-sen
