Veridian Mod

Veridian is a mid-sized content mod focusing on yoyos, ammunition, ores, and equippables. The current version of the mod is 1.10 and runs on TML 1.4.4.9 v23.8.3.1.

It is updated occasionally - however updates are seldom large and I tend to push a handful of small fixes or additions to the workshop at a time.

Currently the mod adds:

- 30+ Yoyos, each with unique methods of obtainment and effects
- 30+ Ammo types with special effects
- 60+ Accessories, including 13 zodiacs and 21 unique yoyo strings
- 50+ other weapons
- 20+ Armour sets
- 15+ sets of Tools
- 10+ Bars and 10 respective Ore types
- 10+ Status Effects
- 2 NPCs

The mod also has various vanilla balance changes and tweaks.

This mod started as a yoyo-based mod called Verde's Yoyos and has since grown into what it is today. I am the only developer and have no formal programming experience so some things may not work 100% as expected. If you experience anything like this, simply report it to me either on Steam or my Discord.

1.10 - Dandy Balance Update
> Moved yoyos and related accessories to a custom Roll damage class. This means certain melee items will no longer benefit from effects intended for yoyos.
> Began implementing toggleable yoyo string colors (choice between custom or default).
+Added decorative basketball hoop. (needs some minor fixes but it's okay)
+Added Crown of Light.
+Added Arrow of Life - Crimson life steal effect given to this item and slightly buffed.
+Added Bullet of Life - Crimson life steal effect given to this item and slightly buffed.
+Added The D6, a yoyo with randomly multiplying damage.
+Added Jack O' Terror, an early-game magic weapon, crafted similarly to The Gourd.
+Added Coral Staff, a pre-Hardmode magic weapon similar to the gem staves.
+Added Lead Pencil, an early-game sword.
+Added three paintings based on art made by a lifelong friend of mine.
-Removed The Gourd in favor of Jack O' Terror.
-Deprecated Viscera and Hematoma. Having three sets of crimson/corruption yoyos was actually just bloat, and that's not counting the wooden ones.
*Frostbow - rework
> now shoots Frostburn arrows if Wooden or Shimmer are equipped.
> now shoots Frostbite arrows if Frostburn are equipped.
> now shoots Frostfire arrows if Flaming are equipped.
*Frostbite Arrow - nerf
> damage reduced from 11 to 10.
> knockback reduced from 5.5 to 3.2.
> velocity reduced from 6 to 4.
> no longer deals 1-3 extra damage from invisible shards.
> tooltip now has proper description.
> now uncraftable - can only be obtained by firing the Frostbow.
*Ashen Arrow - nerf
> damage reduced from 12 to 10.
> critical strike reduced from 8% to 4%.
> Hellfire duration decreased from 6 seconds to 2 seconds.
> crafting output reduced from 50 to 25.
^The two nerfs above help to balance them within their tiers. Hellfire was unironically worse.
*Demon ammo - buff
> critical strike increased from 4% to 24%.
*Crimson ammo - nerf
> life steal effect replaced with mild regeneration buff.
> Varicose chance increased from 1/3 to 1/2.
*Eye of Belial - buff
> now inflicts Hellfire and Varicose.
> now bounces once.
> now spawns homing seekers upon decay.
*Wither effect - rework
> players: -12 defense / -18 hp/sec
> NPCs: -10 defense / -16 hp/sec
*Gangrene effect - buff
> NPCs: -4 defense
*Corruption enemies now correctly apply Gangrene instead of Varicose.
*Zombie drop pool now includes Iron Bar, Tin Helmet, Tin Pickaxe, and Tin Watch.
*Zinc Shortsword stats fixed.
*Withered Blade properly buffed from 40/36/4.5 to 48/32/3.5.
*Fixed dozens of tooltips... again.
