1.0 Orders and Looping [2.0+]

Kuvaus
Description
Restores several map orders from Avorion 1.3.8 that were removed in Avorion 2.0, while still working alongside the new captain missions. As of the Avorion 2.0 stable release, only stable versions are supported.

Restored Map Orders
  • Mine
  • Refine
  • Salvage
  • Loop

How To Loop
From the galaxy view, you are able to issue orders by selecting a ship and clicking an order. If you hold down the `Shift` key while clicking orders you can queue them to run one after another.

While queueing orders, if the orders have a loop in them (ie. An order later in the queue returns the ship to a sector it was in earlier in the queue), the Loop order will appear in the list of available orders.

Note that there is/was a minor bug where the Loop order does not show if all orders are in the ship's current sector. The workaround is to add a jump order to the current sector at the end (essentially a do-nothing) which should allow the Loop order to appear.

(Optional) Configuration
If there are certain new or old orders/missions that you do not wish to see in the galaxy map, they can be shown/hidden based on settings in a config file.

The dependency AzimuthLib is required to use this filtering feature, but is not needed to just restore the old 1.0 orders.

The configuration file will be auto-generated after loading a galaxy with both AzimuthLib and 1.0 Orders and Looping enabled and is located at:
%appdata%/Avorion/moddata/1.0 Orders and Looping/1.0 Orders and Looping.lua

Disabling or removing AzimuthLib will simply cause all orders and missions to be shown again.

As far as I can tell, this is broken. The mining order is still this clownish large white aoe on the galaxy map.

22SEPT2025 : Works perfectly fine. I honestly think I would not play the way I play without this mod. Micromanaging on the galaxy map with this mod is soooooooooooo fluid and ergonomic. Really, just to launch a ship in a sector and put mine without leaving the galactic map is time-saving.

Mod also wokrs like a charm for me.

The question is.
Do we get more recources with missions than a loop of mining sectors with 2k+Asteroids.

This works for me if you have both this AND AzimuthLib installed. Even works on my hosted server so I am not sure why people are saying it's not working?

update?

what Crisp said - pretty please, OP? this mod is far too helpful to fully abandon, and there's no real working substitute confirmed to be stable in 2.5.x, afaik.

even just throwing the last working version files up in a repo (with disclaimers) would make it easier for someone to fork for the current game version, at least so it doesn't become a total loss.

last comment claiming this mod still works appears to be from 10/2024, so you might as well.

why not just make a git repository so that this mod can be actively maintained by the community? It'll make things a lot easier for sure
