If I ever take a crack at gmod, believe me. I'll definitely let you know. I'd love to take a crack at something like this some day. Right now I'm stuck in my Build Engine/GZDoom phase. But I suspect hammer is around the corner given the interest peaking :)

Yeah, alright. That makes a lot of sense. I was legitimately sitting here pulling my hair out trying to figure out if a mod I had broke something on the map, or if there were just no triggers and I was beating my head against a wall XD. I suppose the only real way to make them work is to remove them and build doors of your own, which, honestly. I'm cool with. I'm legit just glad there's an explanation and I'm not blindingly stupid.

I want to thank you again for taking the time, especially considering it's not even your map so to speak. Really appreciate it mate.

Pretty much all those sort of massive garage doors they were meant to be sort of like checkpoint doors. Hence why the side doors can't open because it requires a HL2RP script which would more or less classify you as a "CP" or "OTA" meaning you'd be authorized to go through.

I think their is also ways to make it so if you have a keycard you can go through which is based off the class identification but I may be wrong, I am not a coder of any kind. Hell I am not even a mapper, I mainly manage servers and get people together.

Okay so all the doors I am seeing you mention require noclipping unfortunately and largely due to the fact that it requires a HL2RP script and running on a gamemode like nutscript, helix or clockwork.

Yeah the one you were mostly talking about is in-fact the hive spire. Pretty much everything to get into that area requires the same code I mean. once your inside however you can open up all the interior areas.

Believe me your not stupid, the map was made by the original creator for a 40K gamemode and it was a modification of an old I17 map I believe.

And I think the Hive spire *might* be the one in my failed description. I'm just not *super* knowledgeable on 40k so I wouldn't know for sure. Either way, whenever you get the chance. Thanks for responding to me :)

Its fine, ill reinstall gmod and try to make sure things are working later this week. If I don't feel free to post a video or something since that shouldn't be the case? the only ones that shouldn't let you in are the ones that let you into the hive spire.

Which requires a HL2RP script which doesn't work anymore.

Like, for example. When you first spawn. The doors to your right and left will open, if you go into the side corridor and press the button.

But like, say, the Door to get into... What I assume is the inner sanctum of the hive city? It has 2 staircases leading up either side with the door directly under them? I physically cannot get that door to open, no matter what dynamic prop I press E on, or pressing E on the door doesn't open it.

And generally, *most* of the doors that let you access deeper parts of the map don't function. Unless the 3 of us who are playing on it are just wildly blind. I'll even record a video if you wish to show you what I'm talking about, because I lack the linguistics necessary for good descriptions lmao.
