Shadows over Europe: No Victors, No Vanquished


What if no-one won WW1?

The Great War would not end. The struggle of the Entente and the Central Powers continued to stalemate across the rivers Somme and Meuse for years, while no front in all of Europe could deliver a decisive blow to either of the fighting factions. When peace came, it came not because of a noble peace deal, but by the offensives dying down one at a time.

Germany, at first sight, came out unscathed. But the wounds of the Great War had stretched her too far, and in a sudden, violent uprising, the Kaiser and his family were expelled. With the proclamation of a German Worker's Republic, the rest of Europe pushed itself firmly to the right in response. Germany stands isolated for now, but there are some in Europe that still yearn for a better fate for the working classes.

Meanwhile the colonial empires have faltered, but not collapsed. A few nations have found their freedom and now must defend it against those who would once again put them in chains. Old alliances are looking increasingly fragile, and new contenders may once again push Europe to the brink of destruction.

From the ashes of the Great War, a Shadow hovers over Europe...

Shadows over Europe will deliver a fully fleshed out alt-history scenario with new dynamic alliances, which means that no single game will go exactly the same. Thus, you never know who will be your friends... or your enemies.
