描述
This is the unofficial successor of the defunct Cinema addon, the focus here is to keep the Gamemode updated as possible and enrich it with new features.

Please note that this does only apply to Windows users. Linux and macOS users will still need the existing requirements (read below).

Getting things to work
So far the out-of-the-box services work for Windows without any additional effort, but for all other services GModPatchTool / GModCEFCodecFix is required. Linux and MacOS users are strongly affected by this, as they also need the x86-64 BETA branch!

Here you can find video instructions for your operating system: Windows, MacOS, Linux or Proton. This is optional, but for the best experience, it is still recommended to use x86-64 BETA and GModPatchTool.

Important Notes
  • Long-term support for YouTube may be challenging due to ongoing technical changes by YouTube, which can lead to issues.
  • YouTube will not work with VPNs and will prompt you with the message “sign in to show you're not a Bot”. Add Garry's mod to the exception list (split tunneling) of your VPN clients, nothing else can be done about it.
  • YouTube will not be able to play age-restricted videos.
  • Local videos on the computer cannot be played, consider uploading it somewhere.
  • In some countries there may be strict censorship and sites may be completely blocked. This addon is not responsible for that.
  • Not all videos from tiktok will work.
  • Links requested via chat are currently experiencing some bugs.

AND NO - "VIDEOS CANNOT BE PAUSED, NO MATTER HOW OFTEN YOU ASK". ALSO "NETFLIX OR DISNEY+ CANNOT BE ADDED EITHER"

@~b~ Kippy If you unpack the cinema gamemode file, you can find cinema_modded/gamemode/cl_init.lua, and comment out or delete lines 18-21 of the code.

+ & - on the Keyboard (Not numpad), you can also control the volume from the scoreboard.

@轻描淡写, Sending links in chat is not really reliable. Custom chat boxes can cause conflicts, and the current solution that already exists is a little buggy.

@𝒩𝒶𝓉𝓈𝓊𝓀𝒾, Could you be a little more specific about what you mean? The theater screen is not actually intended to be interactive.
