For players running on potatoes and toasters. This should increase your FPS. Might also give you an extra edge in game-play.

Shouts out to Syberian Husky™ from the Last Stand dev team for help in identifying textures.

-All material textures in the game (Besides UI, FX) sampled down into 4x4 pixel flat color textures, including all DLC and Last Stand updates. Foliage and glass are translucent.

This means, every tree, gun, player, infected, item, graffiti, dirt, etc.

Each texture file was recursively converted to jpg, analyzed for average pixel color, then replaced with a generated 4x4 flat color jpg from that average RGB value, and finally converted back to VTF using python. Most plants and foliage were also replaced with transparent textures.

If you want to maintain most flat textures but also custom textures from other addons, edit your addonlist.txt in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\" and place this mod near the bottom, below the texture addons you want to sit on top. Remember to set file to "Read-only" to keep the changes from reverting.
