--What the mod Does--
This mod adds Dire Avengers to the game. They currently have the same model as Fire Dragons because I have no expertise in modelling so I cannot make new models for the game. I have changed the weapon firing sound and visual to be as close to a Shuriken Catapult as the game will allow (when I am stuck with the gun model being a Fusion Gun). The texture included with this mod is The Silvered Blade shrine.

---Costs & Balance---
30 food, 30 ore and 42 production to create. 3 food to upkeep.
They have 6 armour and the Avenger Shuriken Catapults are the same as the Guardian's except they have range 2. There are 5 models in the squad (1 less than a Guardian squad) which means at full health they do 16.67% less damage than a Guardian squad does and have 16.67% less health. They are unlocked by the Tier 2 Dire Avengers research.

I will play test and potentially re-balance them.

--Compatibility--
All of my Eldar mods are applied to the default Eldar (instead of adding extra factions) this means they should not break saved games, are very small in size, do not break any Eldar functionality (such as webway gates, starting city, unit abilities, etc.) and do not require updating when the developers make balance changes to the game. It also means that you can choose whatever combination of Eldar shrines you want to use together by simply activating those shrine mods (via Main Menu>Extras>Mods) before starting a game.

@Alastor Apologies for the slow reply. Today I have made a Gladius+ addon mod and as a bonus a Too Many Voices addon mod as well. :vulcansalute:

would you be able to make a little submod to make them match the scale of gladius+? I wish I knew how to do it myself or where to start

I have not used it with Gladius+ in a while because a lot of my friends don't have enough RAM for Gladius+, but if you check this collection it includes Gladius+ and my mods.

Ah ok I understand then, thats good to know and sorry about your experience with that other modder, I hear similar stories often. Anyway just the gun shooting the shurikens has already made dire avengers vastly nicer to look at and more fun to use. cant wait to see the results if you plan to make units with new models eventually!

@Canis Majoris if you were using the Children of Asuryan mod the Dire Avengers that I made for that are very out of date because after 2 weeks of me working on the code of that mod Brother Severus refused to use any of the coding I did (even though I fixed everything that was broken) and he refused to work with me any further. Personally I avoid his mods as the code is a mess and he has poorly treated multiple people in the modding community that have tried to help him.

With regards to the Shuriken Catapult the reason I have not changed it is that a lot of the models in Gladius are not modular (the character and their weapons are all one model), so changing it would mean I would need to make custom models, animations and textures to be able to swap the weapon out. This is something I want to learn to do eventually, but will likely take me a long time as I have no previous experience in 3D modelling.

now I see that it works fine, I replaced their dire avengers with your updated ones! btw is it possible to change the model of the gun to the shuriken launcher or is it impossible since the model is the fire dragon model?

@Canis Majoris I just double checked and they already are firing the exact same projectile effect and sound as the Guardians Shuriken Catapults. They have been since the last update I pushed on the 4th of January this year.
