This is a pack of 6 ballast textures that can be used with Theme Mixer 2 mod to have a proper track ballast. I decided to make this kind of ballast pack after seeing many people using stone, gravel, mud textures as track ballast and it was a traumatic experience.

Package contains 6 textures, 3 clean and 3 weathered versions. Theme textures are tiled-generated with no additional maps aside diffuse itself so there's not much a ground to play with.

This pack only contains gravel texture. But since game doesn't accept incomplete themes, other textures are replaced with 256px image indicating that it's gravel only theme. You are thus, expected to use this theme with Theme Mixer 2, in addition to your main theme.

Because of how themes work in this game, you can only use 1 texture at any given time, thus ignore the filesize, this is a pack.

Exactly what I was looking for !
I had tried many map themes but none is coming with a gravel texture that really looks like gravel/ballast and not mud : this is ok for many purposes but definitely looks aweful for train tracks.

And to answer rlas, yes it replaces the gravel texture in the whole game... but it looks good indeed

Is the ballast texture a seperated texture from gravel, pavement and the others or does this replace any of these? Thanks in advance. This looks so cool :)
