Descripción
"The SRS99C-S2 AM is a gas-operated, magazine-fed sniper rifle chambered in the powerful 14.5×114mm cartridge. Its mode of fire is semi-automatic and it is typically fed by 4-round detachable box magazines. As befits their sniping role, they are issued with optics, such as the Oracle N-variant scope scope."

Manufacturer: Misriah Armory
Model series: SRS99 Series
Type: Sniper rifle, anti-materiel
Ammunition type: 14.5×114mm rounds

This mod replaces the Military Sniper Rifle in L4D2 with the SRS99C-S2 AM from Halo CE while using the High resolution PBR textures from The Master Chief Collection. It uses the SRS99C animations from Halo CE and Halo: Reach recreated by Adorabirb!

@Sunderstorm yeah this mod is old so it doesn't have a HUD icon yet as this was before the last stand update. I will update this mod to have the icon soon

Does this one not have a HUD icon? Not showing up in game and I have no conflicts or other mods affecting the military sniper.

would it be possible to make the kick back animation not as strong, it looks kind of weird when your firing multiple shots.

@Tinfoot I used to do that years ago but it looks super weird as that is a grip not a flashlight/laser module. Especially as it isn't aligned with the barrel. It triggers me, especially when you understand a bit more how guns work, especially the sniper the halo sniper rifles are based off.

it's a tough call/sacrifice but thankfully it doesn't break gameplay as the flashlight still gets cast from another source and the sniper's accuracy still kicks in when you use the laser sights. so think of it as you adjusting the scope on the rifle to be more precise or something.

Could just have it come out of that not-a-barrel thing underneath the barrel

@Tinfoot I removed the laser sight/flashlight attachment because it looks extremely weird having a flashlight source/laser source coming from the sniper rifle when it has no modules to allow that. even looked very uncanny when I tried various ideas like ziptying flashlight models or other flashlight/laser models onto the sniper rifle.

so to keep more true to how the sniper looks and performs to the original game I compiled the model without the attachments. the laser sight module still gives the sniper the accuracy boost and the flashlight still works.

Also the jigglebones for the biped seem to still move even if the game is paused, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, just a weird one

Laser sight doesn't work
the sound plays, but it doesn't appear on the weapon

@逐火之蛾❤ the CE sounds are so horribly compressed that they sound awful in L4D2 and can barely be heard in game.
