Authentic Pluto Experience

Beskrivning
This map theme converts any city you own into a Pluto-based Space City. Temperatures are frigid, skies are dark, and the sun is just barely a normal star. As night falls, the oversized volcanic moon Charon puts the pinprick sun to shame. Even at noon Pluto is no brighter than evening twilight on earth, according to NASA.

The landscape is an alien pink as imaged by the famous New Horizons probe which flew over Pluto. Mountains built of ice, but what is frozen is probably not water. The (terraformed) seas bubble with a strange tint from Pluto's core. They are rich in Tholin compounds found all over Pluto's surface.

Note: if your map is not Boreal you will need Environment Changer to apply this theme.

Note: For an authentic Pluto map, check out the Tombaugh Regio. Alternatively, the theme also carries well to any mountain- or crater- filled map.

I have been playing on your Map and Theme for over forty game years, and it has not rained even once. I know it does not rain on Pluto in RL, but your Pluto has terraformed water.

I am loving the cryogenic winters! I one saw a negative one hundred degree temperature! It is a shame that you cannot make Heating Needs reflect that.

It's not a dependency just a mod that gives extra options.

Got it. Thank you very much! Can I change the Base Theme once I have already started my game?

(BTW, listing the Environment Changer as a Dependency might make sense.)

If you installed the Environment Changer mod, when creating a new city or loading a saved game, you can select Base Theme and Custom Theme. For base theme choose Winter and Custom Theme choose Pluto. These options dont appear without the Environment Changer mod (note: i didnt make that mod)

What do you mean by applying a "Winter Base Theme"? How do you do that?

It takes thirty minutes to load my gigabytes of Mods, so I will test the Mod on the next new game that I start.

I cant guarantee compatibility with every mod out there but, with regards to Snowfall, applying the Winter base theme to any map converts it into a Snowfall map, and then you can apply Pluto on top of Winter. (This will require the Environment Changer mod). Im not quite sure what the end result might look like, though, send me a pic of the results.

As for other popular mods like Relight and Ultimate Eyecandy, i think Pluto doesnt need them. Relight on most LUTs tends to be too dark and even adjusting the light sliders look kinda ~artificial colorized~. Eyecandy works better on Pluto.

Is this Mod compatible with the Snowfall Map? I would LOVE to have to actually shovel and plough ice on this thing.
