The Time has Come!
So, after heavy debate, I decided to start a larger mod project for 3K. Inspired by Troy, what would it be to add a few more units to the unique roster?

How historically authentic is this? I have no clue. But it's fun!

What does this Mod do?
  • Adds up to 1 to 2 additional faction exclusive units for all factions. (Currently, base game, Yellow Turbans and A World Betrayed factions are complete).
  • Some factions are left out, as they already have a large number of preexisting units.
  • Reorganized the unit frontend setup for many factions, so it looks good.

So, it's time for an update.
So now the Base Game factions along with ALL FLC factions, together with the Yellow Turban DLC and A World Betrayed DLC is now finished. I have heared some questions revolving why some few factions are left out. To be more specific, these factions are left out:
  • Liu Hong (Mandate)
  • Lu Zhi (Mandate)
  • Zhang Jue (Mandate)
  • Zhang Bao (Mandate)
  • Zhang Liang (Mandate)
  • Zhang Yan (Base game)
  • Yan Baihu (FLC)
The Reasoning being that, well, I simply felt uninspired. I also didn't really feel that the Bandits and Mandate of Heaven boys were bad at all. Infact, they are REALLY good. Unusually good. The Bandits are also a rather bloated culture, with research they unlock Han units to use as they wish. There is also a bandit pack mod made by Dead Baron that you can use to spice them up even further. Then why the heck did I add a unit to Zheng Jiang?

Truth be told, the only reasoning being, was because Zheng Jiang was my very first Three Kingdoms faction I ever played whom I have a connection with in the game. I wanted to honour her a bit and as such I added a fitting unit to her, suitable to her style. That's it. It was a personal decision, not much more than that.

Here are some important points that this mod adds:
  • The Changes made to Liu Biao's Imperial Defenders unit has been removed and moved into it's own standalone mod: Guv's Imperial Defenders Remake Mod

  • Sun Jian and Sun Ce has their new unit "Mercenary Spearmen" available in one of their Captain retinues. Replacing Mercenary axemen with spearmen.

  • Tao Qian's unique garrison retinues now includes Territorial Sword Guards and Territorial Horsemen!

  • Shi Xie was a complicated Process. So, CA didn't really "finish" Shi Xie. He has no unique unit permission groups or a custom battle unit set key. As such, he cannot use his new unique units here in Custom battle unfortiunantely, unless I tamper with CEO datatables, which are HEAVILY incompatible with one another. Meaning, if you would use this mod, you couldn't use MTU. And we wouldn't wanna have that now, would we? So I have edited certain tables that might conflict with some mods. Mainly, "factions_tables".

Compatibility
The mod should be savegame compatible.
Be careful of using overhauls, as they have likely edited large numbers.
Tao Qian has his Garrisons edited. Watch out for Garrison editing mods, as I edit tao qians entries in those tables.
Shi Xie has his faction table entry edited. Watch out for mods that edits ALL factions in "faction_tables".

Hi. I noticed that in the screenshots there are some noteworthy characters without unique appearances shown in the faction selection. Is this a mod?

@guvenoren same problem as true love but only for shi xie where my vietnamese units don't show up in my roster as in aren't in the unit roster

HI, the special units are not showing up in my rosters, does it conflict with certain mods? I am not running any major overhaul models atm, just re-skin, game mechanic, and some special recruitment mods atm

Can you please fix/buff Riders of Ba, they are just too expensive for what they worth, even the passive buffs and the shield is not enough to be a 1000 per unit.

I'm having so much fun playing the game with your mod.

By the way, if you combine your mod with Alex zhao's Recruited unique character can use their special units mod,

When recruiting generals, their unique units cannot be recruited.


for example

When I recruit Gongsun Zan, Gongsun Zan's special cavalry in your mode cannot be recruited even if I raise it to a certain level.

To solve this problem, we turned off havie's special skill mode.
This time I can only share pre-mod unique troopers, not the cavalry in your mod.

How can i solve this problem?
