RE: RHS Escalation

RE: RHS Escalation is a mod of the RE: series that systematically improves one of the most popular addon packs for Arma 3. Admitting the high quality, RHS improves a lot of things with every update, while here I’m trying to address the most annoying flaws that were not fixed for a while.

This mod is completely content-less meaning it contains only the complimentary original code that builds upon the RHS content, not containing any part of it.

Features:
- Groups AFRF factions. Units are accurately grouped into just a few well-equipped factions: VDV, MSV, VV and VMF. Keeping the group and unit classes names intact insures the full compatibility with all the dependent content and scenarios.
- Adds Full-blown VDV (Desert) faction that mirrors VDV with the sand-textured vehicles.
- Revives Eastern Militia independent faction as it was pre-0.4. It may grant compatibility with the older scenarios that used this deprecated faction.
- Universal compatibility of weapon accessories including scopes, silencers, pointers, and bipods. It transforms RHS Escalation into the huge accessory pack you can use with vanilla and modded weapons. This feature utilizes a Slots-to-Rails module from RE that is supplied with this mod.
- Fixes vehicles positioning in AFRF motorized and mechanized groups. In many default groups armored vehicle position overlaps with infantry so it smashes several units on the spawn.
- Most of the units got NVG equipped so you don't need a script any more for the effective night combat.
- Elcan scopes reconfigured as 3d with the closer look, making it a default option.
- FixesUSF flashlights light to make it usable at 100-150m.
- Adds a missing Harris Bipod sound.
- Adds support for Contact DCL scopes for RHSUSF rifles
- Adds an occupied commander seat to BMP-1K, BMD-1K, BMD-2K
- Increases RPG7 reload amination speed
- Unlocks all Russian scopes support for SVD (was made very selective by RHS)
- Hides some redundant items in arsenal like AK-103-# and 50 shades of pink helicopter pilot helmets with decals.

RE: RHS Escalation is neither a part of nor requires the original RE (Real Engine) and is completely independent from it.

Just want to point out that the "redundancy" with the AK-103-# isn't a redundancy. The 103-1 is a single-shot variant, and the 103-2 is a single/burst variant. :mkb:

They have had dovetail-to-picatinny rail adapters since the early 2000's for PKM & SVD weapon systems and I agree the SVU should be in the game but it was never intended to replace the SVD, just modernise it.. The Chukavin SVCh replaced the Dragunuv SVD in 2018ish fyi. It's no secret Russia has been using western styled rail mounts and optics a number of years now even on their new models i.e the SVC has full picatinny rails.

1P29 was designed from the get go with a variant that's mountable to SVD, 1P63, 1P78, etc all have variants for SVD mount. The only real exception is stuff like NIT-A and early "kobra" series.
Really the only reason SVD can't accept a lot of things is that it's just pretty low priority for them.
It's pretty criminal that SVU series isn't even in the game, despite it replacing original svd and pkp in vdv service.

Sure, but normal AK optics generally aren't designed for SVD mounts and there's no baseplate system in RHS for those optics to go onto SVD ones. It should be a thing but yeah. Though, are any optics only designed for AKs issued with SVD baseplates? I doubt that all of them are for every soldier of professional militaries using AKs and/or SVDs lol

With regards to PGO optics though, fair enough.

With regards to the S1 bipod, true. I don't understand why its never been added which is pretty retarded lol

You can easily mount PGO-7 on a SVD, NPZ has variants of practically every one of their optics for SVD. For legacy AK siderail optics you can simply switch out the base plate on the mount. It was not "designed to not take other warrsaw pact rail optics". The only difference is where the stop is located. This is completely disregarding the NPZ universal mounting system. It's not limited in RHS because of 'realism', it's limited because it's not done. S1 bipod isn't even in the mod.

..How the fuck do you not know that Russian SVDs can only mount PSOs and NSPUs? The rail's fucking designed to not take other Warsaw Pact Rail optics lol
