Relive one of the oldest mods for Age of Mythology, posted originally in 2004 to HeavenGames! Legends of Middle-Earth (LOME) has been revitalized, and is still bringing brand new, top-quality modded content for this Lord of the Rings themed total conversion mod!




A Whole New World Awaits

LOME is a mod with scale and size like none ever known before to Age of Mythology, here's what you can find locked away inside:

• 15 New Civilizations:
  This is Middle-Earth, and perhaps more notably: The Lord of the Rings! Choose between the Lands of Elves: Rivendell, LothLorien, or Mirkwood. The Realms of Men, such as Gondor, Rohan, or the stoic Dúnedain. Play as the fearsome Orcs of Mordor, Easterlings, Uruk-Hai or Haradrim. Or step into the culture of Dwarves and Hobbits!
  
  
• Hundreds of New Units:
  In this complete makeover, control hundreds of new units, and heroes. each culture comes packed with original soldiers, heroes, buildings, and more! Each packed with details and potential strategy in the battlefield!
  
  
• A New audio/visual experience:
  LOME boasts a new music mix during gameplay, and over 1,000 new sounds. Many units have new voice lines. God powers, heroes, and more now enrapture you with powerful, high quality sound effects!
  
  
• 16 New Middle-Earth themed Random Maps
  Seize power throughout all of Middle-earth! Take your battles from Mordor, to Mirkwood, Gondor, to Eriador, and prove your dominance of all the lands!
  
  
• Brand new game mechanics, and god powers!
  Over 100 original god powers, and other completely unique mechanics such as item loot! Purchase items for your heroes in Random Map play from the Bazaar, and craft your heroes to what suits their needs, from armour, to attack speed and more!
  
  
• Festivities abound!
  LOME is proud of the simpler things. During certain times of years, you can find various parts of the mod decorated for holidays. Seasonal, and community events are also common! Jump into the festivities!
  
  
• Expanded Editor
  It goes without saying that the amount of content to play with in the editor has been vastly expanded upon. Hundreds of editor-only doodads/objects, over 15 new forests/waterbodies, and over 50 new terrains!
  
  
• High Quality Campaigns
  LOME has several campaigns (with more coming still) which fully utilize what's been added to the mod. New campaigns feature brand new stories, with full voice acting and music, as well as detailed cinematics, and engaging gameplay mechanics.

LOME has many upcoming prospects to keep the community coming back! Including new campaigns and community events!

With some 3,000 textures, 2,000 models/animations, and more than 800 new unit/buildings, LOME is massive in scale, and as such, may run into problems.

Q. What happened to the AI, it doesn't work?
A. The AI is very strange. Some matches it works, some matches it doesn't. I really cannot figure out what makes it so particularly nondependable, I'm open to ideas.

Q. The mod has downloaded, but it doesn't look right, things appear missing?
A. You may not be subscribed to the whole COLLECTION, or it's possible you may not have "LOME Core" at the top of your mod priority list, and play with your game language set to English.

Q. Have you worked on any other mods in the workshop?
A. Absolutely! My biggest works besides LOME in the workshop can be found by following my workshop page! You'll find that many of them work with LOME!
