Forth Rail Bridge

Opis
DOWNLOAD THIS MOD FROM THE STEAM WORKSHOP ONLY. REDISTRIBUTION ON OTHER SITES IS NOT PERMITTED.
This iconic bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage site - it was built in 1890, and spans 2529m across the Firth of Forth in Scotland.

IMPORTANT: this mod requires the Steel Arch Bridge mod by DasMatze available at https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php?entry/5099-gro%C3%9Fe-stahlbogenbr%C3%BCcke-tpf-2/

Download the zip file, and extract it to your steam/steamapps/common/Transport Fever 2/mods directory.

This is a "fake depot" bridge, you can find the spans and central girders under the rail depots menu, and the end tower is under the assets menu. This makes the bridge fully modular, so you can have as many spans, central girders, and approaches as you desire. (No cursed formations pls)

each span is 24k triangles, and each connecting girder is around 1.5k triangles. The approaches are less than 1k triangles each.

i'm having a slight issue that the ET asset disappears if you zoom close. possibly there is some bounding box you can set so the game doesn't think it's outside the field of view?

Finally added one of these to my map (in 1903). Just completely in awe. Seeing it from a train is mind-blowing. Most impressive thing on the map, and probably in all of TpF2!

It's really a very beautifull bridge, but it would indeed be nice if there is an attachable part for the piece that runs from the floor to the bridge, as this is quite high to build. I think in real life the bridge spans between to higher grounds...

Works perfectly for me, awesome work ! I just dont have the ET part, is it due to the steel arch that does'nt work anymore ? (but dont crash my game fortunally)

The steel arch bridge mod comes up as a small "invalid object" cube - as best I can tell some of the bridge pieces in your mod are missing now?
