If you are still subscribed to the old USRP roads, make sure you replace them in your savegames before unsubscribing. Otherwise your saves will be broken.

Hello everyone!

The US Road Project is back. I have worked tirelessly in the past weeks to provide you with better assets than those that I have previously published.
There are brand new street lights, traffic lights and decals with lots more to come in the future. The new roads will predominantly feature all elevations with fully rendered tunnels.

Please rate up if you like this asset.

About

The most common form of national highway in the United States. From way back when interstates weren't a thing, they are still important connections between cites, towns, villages and other places.

You can find it in roads under the 'IV' tab.

Road width: 15m
Default speed limit: 65 M.P.H. (105 km/h)

Fine Road Tool v2 by Klyte45:

Enables finetuning of road height and lets you change elevation models easily.


Known issues

There is a problem with Network Skins 2 by boformer where traffic lights will sometimes be recognized as street lights. This is due to light effects in the traffic light props. It may prevent you from changing the street lights on this road. Please do not replace the traffic lights with street lights!

Changelog

18/05/2020:
  • Fixed a bug where it would still require Mass Transit DLC. The Road should now work without any DLC.
  • Reverted to previous version to avoid incompatibility with existing savegames.

21/09/2020:
  • Added 2 new roads: Dashed center line and broken Passing line
  • Replaced vanilla level crossings with Railway Barriers (American) by Strategy Nerd
  • Removed redundant forward arrows at road ends and level crossings

why is there no option to put housing, shops and industrial on all the USRP roads?

@Bluetail What you're looking for is Roads United. It's a mod that replaced the textures of vanilla roads with ones from different texture packs. It's not maintained anymore since it had a lot of problems. As of now, there are only custom assets that have to be placed manually.

Oh, I thought this was like a proper replacer where I don't have to scroll through a menu to select it, rather what I was looking for well replace vanila assets.

@Bluetail you can replace them if you want to :) You have to place them manually though.
I'm working on a new set of National Roads with way more diversity. Hopefully I'll be done with those soon.

Do have a request of these National roads. Like to have a set with Zone. To put like gas stations and mini markets on. Same with the different yellow stripes and everything. Pretty much hook on your road collection.
I did try using the CS editing to do that. After many tries. Still didn't come out right. I turn on the Zoning then turn off the Highway Rules. All I got was fuzzy roads. The line keep being remove. Even place the lines myself. Still won't show up.
After about 3 weeks of trial and failed. I pretty gave up. The loading time to get there take 11 minutes then sometime the saving process crash.

Happy user here. I used these now in my build. However i got idea, isit possible create same looking road but whit bus stop? I mean using this road or others what you made and just uprade one segment of road whit bus stop. Would bee cool

For some reason this road in particular is tinted red, all other USRP are fine. I have all of the required mods added, anyone else getting this?
