Water Bottle

Water Bottle has a strange playstyle where it can manipulate its weight and stats at will. With flexible normals and a wide variety of approaches you can take with its moveset, Water Bottle is a versatile fighter that requires flexibility to switch your stats and manage your resources to quench victory.

Water Bottle’s passive gimmick is that it can fill itself up with water to change its attributes. By using Down Special and having its projectile touch Water Bottle (or by parrying an opponent’s attack as well), Water Bottle will be filled up with water. You can hold up to 3 water charges at once. A full list of statistics described below apply for each water charge Water Bottle has:

- Lowered movement speed
- Increased falling speed
- More susceptible to combos and early deaths
+ Increased weight
+ Access to certain moves that require Water
+ Increased damage per hit (+1% for each water charge on hit)

This move has Water Bottle rain down water from the skies above. If the water projectile touches Water Bottle, it will fill Water Bottle up with water. Spikes opponents with weak knockback.

Holding Special will allow you to manually select where you want to spawn the water projectile within a specific distance from yourself. Useful for firing it at spots where it can mess up your opponents!

Using Down Special when Water Bottle has max water will instead cause Water Bottle to rocket upwards like... y'know, a bottle rocket. This move not only works as a way to either spike opponents with the water blast, a way to bring opponents vertically upward for combos with the body hitbox, and also as an additional recovery option.

Water Bottle uses a water gun to fire shots of water at opponents! This move functions differently depending on if you tap or hold the Special button. Tapping Special will have Water Bottle ready the water gun, and then fire it! Deals above-average knockback. Holding Special will fire three small water projectiles that cover a wide range of space but deal low damage and hitstun. Both of these moves require you to have at least one charge of water.

Water Bottle will reach out with its wrapping to grab anyone and anything with it. Has high startup and endlag, but the wrap travels quite far. Grabbing an opponent will have Water Bottle reel them in to pounce them! This move knocks opponents upwards if Water Bottle is grounded, but if Water Bottle uses this move while in the air, opponents will get spiked! The spike hitbox will also gradually get stronger the more water you have, so if you have maximum water, you can get some cheesy early kills with this move on unsuspecting opponents.

The knockback on this move gets stronger the more water you have, increasing its killpower offstage. You can also grab walls with this move to grapple yourself towards them, giving you another recovery option!

Water Bottle spins upward at high speeds, then delivers a finishing strike before going into freefall. Travels a decent distance with mediocre K.O. power.

Other Noteworthy Moves:

Both Forward Tilt and Back Air use the water gun to attack. Holding Attack when landing either of these moves and having at least one charge of water allows you to instantly cancel into Tap NSpecial.

This move also uses the water gun. Here, it’s used to strike above Water Bottle with a powerful slash. Press Attack / Strong / Special and have at least one water charge during the move’s endlag or hitpause to fire off a shot of water upwards!

Water Bottle spins around on the ground like in the titular game of “Spin the Bottle”. Hits opponents multiple times. During the move’s startup, you can hold left or right to move during the initial active frames. Charging the move makes you move further!
