Hotline Literature Club - Part 1 (music and sounds in description)

After over two years of on-again-off-again work, I have finally completed my campaign for Hotline Literature Club!

If you're a fan of Doki Doki Literature Club and Hotline Miami 2, then this is the mod for you!

FEATURES

- A two part campaign spanning 8 levels.
- Original story featuring Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki, and Monika from DDLC.
- Hand-drawn faces and spites for all characters and cutscenes.

Q&A

Who is this mod for?

This mod is mostly for fans of Doki Doki Literature Club. I believe a fan of DDLC would enjoy this mod without prior HM2 experience, but I don't think the reverse is true. If you don't like DDLC, I wouldn't recommend playing.

Why did it take so long?

For very positive reasons! I have been lucky to finally find a career path in my life, and this has occupied a lot of time for me. Also, I procrastinate.

Why isn't the music included in the campaign?

Due to legal reasons about distributing music, I can't package up the music with the mod. You can find the music mod, sound mod, and instructions on how to install them in the link bank at the bottom.

Why isn't the sound included in the campaign?

When HM2 loads up, it checks for all the sounds during initialization, apparently. In order to get around that, we have to mod the sound separately in order to get it to work.

Why is the mod split into two pieces?

In order to get an art asset right, specifically, the severed heads. If I had created everything in one big mod, then the wrong severed heads would fly off of the wrong bodies.

Where can I listen to the music?

Both Neppu Tennouboshi and I have uploaded the tracks to Soundcloud. You can find them in the link bank, as well.
