An advanced power for your colonies!

This mod is a merged update of [sd] advanced powergeneration and Fueled Nuclear Power Generators.

It adds new power generation buildings with technologies to research them:

- Advanced wind turbine (Spacer tech, 6000 Wd output at max);
- Advanced solar generator (Spacer tech, 3400 Wd output at max);
- Advanced watermill generator (Spacer tech, 2300 Wd output);
- Advanced geothermal generator (Spacer tech, 7500 Wd output);

- Advanced stirling radioisotope generator (Industrial tech, 2500 Wd output for 0.125 Uranium per day);
- Large advanced stirling radioisotope generator (Industrial tech, 9000 Wd output for 0.40 Uranium per day);
- Advanced nuclear generator (Spacer tech, 26000 Wd output for 1.0 Uranium per day).

Radioisotope and nuclear generators are compeletely safe, however they all require advanced components to be constructed.

The code for buildings has been seriously reworked so there are numerous changes and balance tweaks for both mods to be closer to Vanilla. The most notable changes are:
  • all buildings are breakdownable (require repair/maintenance);
  • all buildings have their miniaturisation mechanics removed;
  • the cost and hit point of all buildings are rebalanced;
  • fuel requirements for radioisotope and nuclear generators are smoothed (low tier consumes less, high tier consumes more). The goal is for them to have an edge against other energy resources in all tech eras but not be a universal "go-to" end-game option;
  • research projects are rebalanced with low tier cost decreased (wind turbine, solar generator) and significant cost increase for high tier;

You are correct. Apparently, blockLight is to block all the light. Including the light that buildings produce themselves. I have updated the mod. Tell me if I missed anything :yavannawink:

According to what I can see in https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1084452457 , they DO glow, it's just the alpha value is 0 so there's no light. It looks like Advanced stirling radioisotope generator and Large advanced stirling radioisotope generator have a glow of 4, and Advanced nuclear generator has a glow of 8.

yeah dude i tried to go through the code (im no code smith tho) and it LOOKED ok. Like all the lines for the glow looked correct, compared to both github and other glowy stuff. And weirdly only the advanced sterling isotope generators have a glow and only on one corner, and not if its adjacent to something (bottom corner). Could it be becuase theyre set to block light?
