Deskripsi
Single-Point Urban Interchange over sunken freeway

Single Point Urban Interchange:
Advantages:
  • Superior to traditional diamond interchange due to only one signalized intersection required
  • Improved safety due to having only one intersection and better visibility from the angle of oncoming traffic
  • Right turn-traffic does not need to be handled by an intersection, giving the SPUI higher throughput and requiring less traffic signal phases
  • Curvature to increase vehicle speeds thus increasing throughput

Disdvantages:
  • Left-side on-ramps are less safe due to merging with freeway's 'fast lane' traffic
  • Throughput and safety not as high as diverging diamond interchange (DDI) due to left turns must still cross opposing traffic and traffic light is still required

This Asset:
  • Freeway depth at 12m below street level
  • Freeway carriageways are spaced at 32 units apart for those using the Parallel Road Tool mod
  • Elevated intersection at 2m above street level to accommodate concrete quays (Asset Editor would not allow me to save the quays at a lower elevation, so I had to painstakingly redo most of the asset to raise the roads up)
  • Recommended for moderate to heavy traffic volumes

Did you intend for your junction restrictions to completely prevent all pedestrian traffic? Seems odd....

I have all the supporting mods but I can't seem to place it. Says it has to be placed on waterfront. What am I missing? Looks like a great intersection.

Nicely done! I have made one myself in my city with crossing at ground level and highway sunken under it.

Updated the asset with asymmetrical roads to improve traffic flow as a result of my in-game testing - Fixed a ramp section that was pointed the wrong way
