Update 2020-10-08:
- Thanks to Equinox now true directional light beams are possible and implemented

Update 2020-02-13:
- Added British style headlights

Update 2019-09-27:
- Added smaller version of the old US headlight, better fitting narrow gauge locomotives
- Added an US style markerlight

Train Parts Headlights

Since the train era in Medieval Engineer begun, many compromises had to be made in our designs due to lack of apropriate train parts: wooden wheels, sconces in place of headlights, etc. This is why Xaerthus' Rail & Air Industries' invested heavily in a brand new development branch, where highly skilled engineers work day and night on bringing you custom parts, carefully adjusted for your best railroad experience.

Every train needs need a proper light, especially when driving in decreased visibility. This mod was created to adress this issue by adding 8 different kinds of headlights. They all can be switched from white to red light to allow easier end of train signalisation. There are also marker light, possible to be switched white-green-red. Due to in game limitations, the lights are omnidirectional, but have enough reach to be actually useful.

This is creative only for now, but i plan on making it survival compatible.

We have been using the whole train parts modpack on the survival PlanetsNoLag server for almost a year, they all are survival compatible. There are some extension mods to these too, altering some bits here and there. If you're interested in those, may i suggest, please take a look at this modpack, that's what we use over at PNL (so all survival ready).

Many thanks for the answer! I was interested in a couple of mods from the beautiful trains modpack but most of them have that line about survival compatibility not yet developed, so, prior to download them, I've asked here in the comments of the mod that I mostly need.
I will go and check the others now.
I run a server with my friends and we like the trains but prefer to play in survival.

The survival compatibility was implemented a very long time ago already, i just forgot to remove that line from the description ;) There is even a mod making the recipe more advanced, using plates, pipes and parts of different materials for fans of more industrialisation.

Hello and congratulations for these beautiful models! They're really cool, and I was wondering if there are any news about the survival compatibility. Maybe that they could be crafted in the forge with some metal parts and glass?
