IPRR Turntable Railgun (Size 6)

A joint venture between Interstellar Pacific and Ikeda Munitions, this IPRR standard gauge rail car mounts a single Ikeda railgun that can swivel on its vertical axis. The railgun car can be parked on a turntable in order to achieve a full range of motion, using high-powered magnetic brakes to stay in place until it needs to be moved.

Some critics have blasted the design for being needlessly complex, but use of the railgun car has steadily been on the rise despite these allegations. With the constant threat of train robberies and Xsotan activity, turntables with railgun cars are now a common sight around freight stations in the Interstellar Pacific network.

At size 6, this turret is exactly half scale compared to IPRR tracks (in case you want to link it up with a rail network). A standalone version of the railgun car itself is part of the first expansion to the IPRR Railroad Parts Collection. I wasn't planning on doing turrets for this series, but the pun here was too great for me to pass up.
