解説
This version of our mod is exactly the same as the original, however, as the name suggests this does not have any unit size changes.

As of now we have released a Shieldwall Overhaul compatible version, no unit size changes it just adds our formations and abilities to Shieldwall Overhaul.

PLEASE NOTE: The pictures were taken using the original mod and so also include the unit size changes, however other than that everything is exactly the same as it would be in this version.

What We Have Done:

We have changed the ‘Shield Castle’ for all appropriate axe/sword units (taking into account shield size) to better reflect it for missile defence and also added a ‘Shield Wall’ with effects to better reflect its use against infantry and bracing ability. We also added the 'Axe Fury' ability to Two-Handed axe and Berserker units. We also added 'Stalk' and 'Guerrilla Deployment' to Berserkers, Shield Biters, Wolf Hounds, & War Hounds. Also, for a little bit more variation with units, we have added a small ‘Throwing Axe’ to all 1 handed axe units, taking into account unit tier with regards to ammo usage and accuracy.

We have changed the ‘Spear Castle’ for all appropriate spear units (taking into account shield size) to better reflect it for missile defence and also added a ‘Spear Wall’ with effects to better reflect its use against cavalry and bracing ability.

We have added several abilities for all missile units, these are: 'Loose Formation', 'Refill Ammunition', ‘Precision Fire’, & ‘Rapid Fire’. We have also added ‘Heavy Shot’ to archer & crossbow units, and changed the effects of ‘Flaming Shot’ so as to have more varied and situational uses between ammo types

We have added Rapid Advance to all units except artillery.

We have added Mighty Knockback, Encourage, & Forest Hide to Artillery units. We have also added new shot types for the artillery; ‘Flaming Round’ - which increase reload time but has morale debuffs and fire damage, & ‘Large Rock’ - which has higher damage and increased AP damage, but at the cost of reload time and range. We also added the ‘Rapid Volley’ ability, which reduces range but increases the rate of fire, at the same time it only allows use of the standard artillery round as this seems more realistic, and forces the player and AI to use different shot types a bit more dynamically.

spear wall and spear castle really doesnt look like it fits in at all. It loses the cool look to it. cuz well regular sword and axe inf. just looks so much better in both shield wall and shield castle. just my opinion.

Would you consider creating an extension of this for the Swiss and Augire Units project? It is Vanilla compatible so it probably wouldn't need a full version. If not, I can take a crack at it.

Great mod, but the refill ammo ability needs to be removed in my opinion. They always use it when not needed, no matter what. Thanks

Hey man im such a huge fan of this mod i literally cant play the game without it. But I also love the mod conquest 1066! however, when i play with that mod, the new units it adds dont have any of the formation options of this mod :(((((

do you think you could make it compatible, or make a compatible mod? it's only like 2 new units per kingdom (I think). that would make my year

@Rök'n'Stön im glad you like it, and honestly i just enabled loose spacing and prayed they used it correctly, which they do :D as for animation and sounds i'm not sure how to change them yet and ive not come across that issue before.

@Manikin I havent got around to it, though i may be able to adapt this mod for it in future.

Love all the amazing abailities th8is mod brings, actually makes the tactics realistic and usefull. HOWEVER; it would be more useable if the vanilla sizes and prices and roster systems were noit enforced. So that way iu could use it alojng side shield wall for example.

As it is when loaded up alongside shield wall it kills the economy system and unit sizes by foc8ing what i guess are vanilla values onto them.

Is there any future possibility that this mod will be adapted to the 1066 campaign mod and the added units it brings?

@Acalian Thank you very much for the reply. I'm pleased that the AI use loose formation on their archers properly, which is cool. How did you get them to do that? Loose formation was in SHogun 2 yet the AI never used it, yet you add it to archers in a mod in this game and the AI uses it. I'm pleased!

However, I noticed a couple issues with the mod though. My spearmen keep starting in spear wall all the time. Any way to get them to not default to that? Also, some of my units keep doing the "HEUGH" shout that they do when you give them commands, even if they've been given one command (move or stand here), whether they are walking or standing still. It sounds as if i'm spam right clicking on a spot for them to move to, with them all chanting the "affirmative" chant every few seconds. Ever come across this issue before?
