Beskrivelse
Fieldstripping a crossbow and reassembling it repeatedly, until we can do it blindfolded, will allow us to improve handling of the weapon, including reload speed, target acquisition, and ultimately, accuracy.

Allows to comfortably train crossbow skills to around level 10 and up to level 20, if you have a decade.

This mod adds a new furniture building piece called "Crossbow Training Station" in "Training" building category.

The visual of the building consist of crossbow and few bolts resting on a small table.

Characters can use this to train Crossbows skill in a reasonable time to level 10 and given enough time to maximum level 20. Description reflects that.

A research item to unlock this building has been also added under the same name, requiring tech level 1, and "Better Training Dummies" as prerequisite. Cost of the research is 2 books and 2 hours.

All assets are from within the game, Crossbow and bolts slightly modified to be usable as building parts.

Does not touch anything not added with this mod, so there is no potential for conflict with other mods.

Does not upgrade.

Trains Crossbows skill only, perception and friendly fire might still be an issue.
Do target practice for that.

# Known bugs and workarounds.
  • Sometimes on the very first try, right after installing the mod and after doing the required research, if you try building this furniture piece, the placeholder will have wrong shape and will not allow to place the building. Until we figure out what causes the issue please do the following workaround:
    Rightlick to cancel the build and select "Crossbow Training Station" again, it will work this time.

@sEver: I love the custom tables with archery gear on them. Good-in-world visuals (not just inventory icons for some re-skin item) are always big eyecatchers first thing I load up a save. Couple of those make up one side of my dojo's rooftop every playthrough. One suggestion though:

Maybe change the building's animation to aimH (the first one in the vanilla animations list). That's the static "animation" for taking aim with crossbow. Not moving in anyway, but more fitting than the generic use animation you have currently.

@sEver Thanks for the reply! But if you place them on turrets, don't they only train perception and turrets? Crossbows are left out. Is there any way for me to mod your mod as to highten the skill cap?
