Gravel Highway

Описание
A simple rework of two-way highway from Mass transit DLC with gravel road segments & nodes. My idea was to have a road I can use in the map editor to simluate local paths and country roads in forests, fields, etc.

This is fantastic. Starting in the map editor and replacing big concrete freeways with this gravel road really makes a map feel rural.

Marti, maybe that's because you were not alive before 1950s? If you're making a city set in 1900, for instance, this would come in quite handy!

@bzk - sorry, I didn't look into the comments for a while. There are planning roads on the workshop already for 2 and 4-lane and they are zoneable, however their colours are dramatic :)
I'm planning to do some more roads in future (once I learn properly how to model them)

Four, six, and eight lane gravel roads at the minimum would be nice for city planning since you could create road infrastructure with very limited funds and upgrade it to better roads later.

Hi, thanks for the comment - I'm thinking about it - but I'll have to go over some road-making tutorials, because a wide gravel road would already require some modelling/texturing, which I'm not too familiar with. But I'll give it a try at some point

i absolutely love this!!!
i've been waiting for gravel highways for a while. (im just not that good at doing roads myself)

my ideal love would have a gravel version of every road-type/road-width :steamhappy:
(one day hopefully)
