Immersed Weather
Immersed Weather is a mod that adds extra immersion to any mission, through the use of particles and sound to provide better immersion and ambiance to any mission!
This mod works on all maps! Official & Custom!

Players -
This mod is plug n' play, just enable this mod when starting your mission or join a server and as long as the server has the correct key installed this mod will automatically start.

Server Owners -
To allow users to use this mod on your server. Subscribe to the mod and look for the key 'IMW.bikey' in the mod files, add it to your servers keys folder and confirm that you can join with the mod.


This mod is mainly focused on cold weather climates and includes the following features,
  • Condensation of your character's breath when they breathe plus increased breathing when fatigued,
  • Character coughing randomly every 5 minutes to simulate being in a cold climate.
  • Blizzard effects around the character including wind and particles,
  • Snow falling down from the sky around the player and their vehicles,

Breathing effects will only occur when the players face is not covered, e.g pilot helmets, bandanas, etc will stop the effect to provide extra immersion.

There have been some issues with the snow failing to spawn, press CTRL-SHIFT-F1 to enter the options menu for this mod and restart the snow to fix the issue. I currently don't know how to fix this bug because it just happens randomly. If you know, please let me know.
When playing in single player keeping the esc menu open or alt-tabbing will pause the audio but continue the scripts, this means that when alt-tabbing back in or unpausing the game will play all the audio at the same time. Be careful!

Currently, this mod only affects the player's character locally, if people are interested I will add this effect to units around the player too.

Has this mod been unlisted? I'm attempting to add it to a server via ARMA Hosts and can't find it in the lists.

This is a very old mod and I have't updated it or fixed bugs for a while.
It might be better to use the script version and then adapt it to what you need and fix the bug you encounter or use another snow effect system.
