This is a port of the CSGO Guardian map, gd_firefight_crater, which was made by McMessenger for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive workshop, and this port was made with his direct permission, for which I thank him. So go check out his impressive Workshop as a sign of thanks, at least!

Crater is a Source remake of the map Crater from HALO 3: ODST, used in the Firefight gamemode. It is (obviously) a science-fiction map set in an urban setting, the city of New Mombasa in Kenya, Africa. More precisely, its location is the Tayari Plaza, though the nearby road is also accessible, as well as the hallways in a few buildings.

I've adapted the map to GMod, which means the following:

- Fine-tuned lighting and reflections for greater visuals
- Removed scripts and entities relating to the Guardian CSGO gamemode
- Added AI nodes for bots

Features:

- HDR and LDR compatible
- Working soundscapes for a great sound atmosphere, identical to CSGO
- Navigation mesh included
- Fully AI noded
- Working cubemaps
- Improved shadows
- Fully optimized
- Converted particles from CSGO
- The music still plays in the map like in the original one from CSGO.

Known issues:

- There's supposed to be a button to turn the music off. For some reason, pressing the button caused major issues which I've been unable to fix or understand. Thus I've removed it. However the music doesn't always play, so it's kinda random if you get it or not. If you want to hear it, try "cleaning up" the map as Admin.
- The dust particles (converted from CSGO) are glitched. They tend to flicker weirdly. I have no idea what causes that and even less how to fix it, hopefully it's not too inconvenient.
