Hi

Thanks again for your add-on, and I'll keep it brief here so that the 1,000 characters are sufficient. ^^ In contrast to my question about Resource Cables.

When I had more and more resource canisters lying on the floor and looked for a shelf in the printer menu. I can't understand why they forgot to include something so essential.

Open crates aren't available in the scenario I started shortly after the Manned Mission campaign, but for me, such crates are only a last resort anyway. I was extremely reluctant to use them in the campaign because they're impractical, and if you have several types of canisters in one crate, you quickly lose track. On top of that, if you lift a crate like that, you might lose several canisters at once because the physics engine messes things up.

@bladerunner97

LOL. Right, I forgot to mention they fall through the world if not fixed with con tool. Since it's only patched to work I didn't much mess with coding or the models solidity.

Glad to hear it's working for ya though.

Thanks for replying. I subscribed to the test branch and ran this mod by itself in a new scenario using the creative printer and a constructed printer. Results were amusing if not bizarre.

When placed upright on the ground (not fixing with the construction tool) the large rack dances a jig for about 10 - 15 seconds before tipping over and falling through the ground. The medium rack stayed firmly in place but if tipped over manually that too falls through the ground. The small one is fine no matter what I do with it. So it seems it does not matter which version of the game I run.

So far, if I fix them immediately to the ground then they all work as intended. I can also lay them flat in the Cargo Transport. So all is not lost and I will have to be careful in what I do with them.

Thanks for your time and effort sir. I appreciate it.

@bladerunner97

There's a chance it should work for the main branch.. if you wanna check it just enable only this as your addons and then try a new game (saves would need w/e addons were enabled or things would be invisible or crash) Unfortunately I don't have much time for steam anymore.

Hello sir.

Is there any chance of having a version of this for the main branch? v1.0.0011:39544

I am using the table out of your excellent Extra Items [2.0] mod at present but I seem to have accrued an awful lot of barrels. LOL. The larger rack in this mod looks ideal. The small rack is fine but for some reason, the two larger racks fall through the ground. I've tried eliminating all other mods to no avail.

If you've finished moding I understand and forgive the intrusion.

Thanks for you contributions. Since the devs have given up on it, I can no longer play this game without some of your mods.

@PestMastah

Thanks for the info.. there's a delicate balance I coded in so the tanks don't break right off after printing but stay attached so they are functional. I'll see if I can't improve this so they don't break when the forklift makes contact.
PestMastah 23. aug. 2019 kl. 19:51
Just so you will know... if you use a forklift to carry the pallet and accidentally crash into one of those orange fences (like I did)... the tanks on the pallet will break and go flying everywhere...

I only used the fork lift because I suspected this would get so heavy I couldn't lift it (kinda like the cage pallets do when they are stacked with "full resource barrels") .

Anyways... I couldn't repair the tanks that came off... seems they were off for good. So light weight also that if the camera shakes and you decide to "drop it" during the shake... the tank goes flying off to ... to... heck I think it made it to Phobos.

Anyways... these small tanks would have been cool to mount here and there (on walls with sockets maybe?)

Just beware of that pallet hitting something when being carried by a fork lift.

Thank you :)

@Moonraker

I haven't done anything to this but make it compatible with the latest game version. So the collision issue is probably still in there. If you want to use this go right ahead just credit myself for this version and Olrik since he originally made it.

I have looked at this Mod and feel the use of materials is far too excessive, when compared to walls etc ! I have reduced the amount of materials and changed the names to reflect my Resource Mod; IE the SiliconOxide and Aluminium changes. I also recall a problem if you drop a unit on the ground it may fall through completely; insure when you grab it you are ready to install it ! Save game alot prior to installing things ?! Wanting permission to readd the Mod with reduced resources.
