** UPDATE to 0.7 **

Diagonal planks to complete your timber and plank toolbox!

After the release of planks, I felt diagonal planks were missing.
Completely create from scratch and ready for use!
Made only from the best planks on the planet: they are a little less croocked then the vanilla planks.

Survival ready:
  • Becomes available with regular plank research
  • Diagonal planks are crafted from regular planks (1:1)
  • Crafting possible from personal inventory and workbench (Use of workbench ofcourse has benefits ...)


Todo's:
  • Define proper colision models.
  • Improve model quality: too square compared to vanilla planks
  • Add LOD models after detail increase itteration
  • Visual storage in timber storages of diagonal planks

Updates:
  • v1.5: Update to 0.7 and regretfully visual storage for diagonal Timbers has been deactivated for now
  • v1.4: Correct visual inventory in timberstorages (you get visual diagonal timbers for free!)
  • v1.3: Details added to the planks. Similar plank endings to vanilla ones.
  • v1.2: Correct collision models and LOD implemented. Planks now also burn.

Mod just got updated to be compatible with 0.7. I noticed that currently sometimes they look pink, but then please reload your world. I will make adjustments to use the vanilla textures propperly again.

I like the difference in color between planks and timbers. It would be nice to be able to change the color of everything (almost like painting), but I realize that's something that is a long time from now. :)

Thanks Skallabjorn! Regarding the coloration: I decided not to do this and stick with the vanilla plank color. This way they match with the current planks and I don't have to 'touch' those ;-)
But... if many more people put up that request... who knows what happens.
