Eyes Just Got Clear (1.186 Drugs Are Bad Mkay Update)

Hello, it's me, your savior.

In the previous episode my heroic efforts saved humankind from the bacterial conjuctivitis pandemia which was caused by aliens who hacked every LCD in the galaxy and made human vision blurry (because of eyes filled with pus).

This time the aliens injected LSD into every spacesuit, and then they touched every visor with their dirty sticky tentacles in the most inappropriate way possible. This caused blurry vision, chromatic aberration and dirty glass. These symptoms, in turn, caused massive amounts of excrutiating rectal pain, also known by the laymen as butthurt.

Damn aliens! We will not go quietly into the blurry chromatic aberration! We will not vanish without a fight!

You know what hurts more than a hundred rotors clanged inside your capital ship that you were building by hand in a survival game with 1X inventory multiplier? LCDs.

In real life people see "bloom" like this when they suffer from bacterial conjuctivitis, and their eyes are full with pus. In real life this is just as annoying as looking at LCDs in vanilla Space Engineers.

But don't worry, fellow engineers. Your suffering is about to end... in a good way, of course. The cure has arrived. Your eyes just got clear.


Many players who use Space Just Got Real asked me to fix the bloom around LCDs. I have already significantly reduced it, and it became way better, but it is still there, and people don't like it.

In addition, Xero suggested to remove the yellow highlight that covers LCDs and other interactive things.

I haven't figured out yet how to remove the bloom from LCDs only, but keep it on lamps and other lights. So I decided to furhter reduce the emissivity bloom.

Vote for this suggestion[feedback.keenswh.com] and let's have Keen remove the bloom from LCDs while keeping the emissivity.


Add this mod and place it above Space Just Got Real or any other mod that modifies environment.sbc (lighting mods, skybox mods, etc).


1. Reduced the emissivity bloom.
2. Removed the yellow filled highlight.
3. Made the highlight border a bit thinner.


1. Learn how to remove the emissivity bloom from LCDs, and then increase it a bit for other lights and lamps.
2. Convince Keen to remove the emissivity bloom from LCDs.
3. If this mod works fine, include it into Space Just Got Real. I will leave the standalone version too.


1. If your eyes have already popped out because of looking at vanilla LCDs, this mod will not be able to put them back in. But it will keep the remaining eyes safe... till space spiders find you.

2. Part of the "bloom problem" is caused by antialiasing. It adds some glowing around letters too.
