Safer Menu [Legacy launch only]

Opis
This no longer works since the engine rewrite, unless you use the "Legacy launch" option.
Modern versions of the game can accomplish something similar by going into:
Settings > Gameplay settings > Turning Unpause count-in at song start ON
Also change Unpause count-in: x beats to a value you're comfortable with.


Makes the pause menu transparent so you can see through it and know exactly where you left off and when the next beat is.

No more stress of pausing mid-stage out of fear of losing the coin multiplier.
Note: don't use in a competitive/racing environment.

Unfortunately I think the black background is hardcoded outside of legacy version.

The best you can do is increase the count in timer to give yourself more of a chance to react.

It's a similar effect but I can't press ESC every 2 secs to repeat the function, also if you do that for like 3/4 times the screen goes black.

Since the engine rewrite, this is no longer necessary to use unless you're launching legacy. To get a similar effect go to:
menu > options > gameplay options > set "Unpause count-in" to any value that isn't zero

Yeah, it was like this in ASE, which i still have a copy of. this is a workaround for what is now considered a cheat, that they fixed on purpose.

Great mod, though you might wanna change up that thumbnail a bit. I couldn't really tell what the mod was based off it..

@bp, seems kinda pointless now to not have it as the pausing cheat still makes killing blood shops as bolt easier.
