描述
France, September 1916

''It seemed all over, hardly 20 minutes from the start. It was a strong point and still was, even with reinforcements it would be hopeless, with those sodding machine guns still in action. Behind we could see where we started from, in front, the Jerry lines on slightly rising ground. Judging by the damned chatter when we were going over, a hidden machine gun at every point. Quiet enough now, they had already done all the damage, not giving their position away now, leaving the Jerries in the line to do the odd firing.''

Supports Liberation and Frontline in PvP.
Stronghold, Raid and Entrenchment in co-op.

Disclaimer: This map is intended to be used with the "Screaming Steel: 1914-1918" WW1 total conversion mod. It will NOT function correctly if you try launching it with vanilla game settings.

You can see the entire dev team listed as creators on the workshop page for the mod.

@Matias
If you are playing this map without having Screaming Steel downloaded you will face that issue.

Can I play this map without instaling screaming steel?

Somme needs more love, it's very fun to play. Unlike basically every other map in DOI, there's no hiding in corners of buildings waiting for people to come in so you can get a cheap kill. Every death on Somme feels like it was my own fault, be it from a sniper or from a lucky grenade kill. This map is probably going to be the only reason I still play DOI.
