Add-on trouble after last L4D2 update
After the last update for L4D2 my add-ons are broken. a lot of them are switched on and when i am in-game the changes i make dont save. un-installing the game and re-installing does not work. removing all the add-ons then putting them back on didnt help either. can some one help me?

You can try to set the properties of "addonlist.txt" to Read-Only. This will prevent the file from being updated, so your add-on settings will remain the same until you uncheck the Read-Only option.

im having a similar issue, my l4d doesnt even start, after a reinstall and verify i noticed the addons arent even loaded or downloading, workshop tab in the properties says all the mods are 0 bytes.

yeah looks like most mods are currently broken and unusable atm. some of my mods wont even show in the add-0n list in game. only 1 that showed active was the xdr base animations you need for other animations in game. nothing else was on and not every mod was loaded. update broke the mods for the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ valve
