Any mods that add slower than light early game travel or re-add the original starting space travel options?

I remember that there were different options WAAAY back when the game first launched that included direct spaceflight, using portals, and the current hyperlane system. I am also interested in early game overhauls as well.

You mean the 'Eager Explorer' Civic? With it you start without base technologies but your ships dont need hyperlanes
