I also received comments that didn't do anything but complain about everything, expecting me to support many 'compatibility patches' and waste time getting in contact with other authors to create such 'patches'.
Many people were also attempting to add me for no reason as well just because I changed a few pixels.
All I did was create a primitive texture pack by using what little updated guides there are for this game and decided to make it public cuz I thought people would find it handy.
Minimal Display Bars is as close as you will get, since my mod was one-of-a-kind I guess hence why it took off.
Also don't re-upload my mod if you download it from the shady websites, please. I don't really want it back on the workshop.
Thank you though for letting everyone know what was going on.
It's always like studying a crime scene when a mod gets removed and I have to figure out which mod and why.
i put a comment in there to link them to this page so they can know what actually happened, and decide what to do based on Sokolov's statement and wishes
i don't want to link the mod, based on Sokolov's request - but i am sure people can work out how to find it if they want to grab it before it gets taken down
@Sokolov - i am sorry to hear of your troubles, especially after you having been so generous as to share your mod
I am sorry to hear what has happened, as a Mod creator myself, it is one of the reasons why I have turned off comments on my mods for this exact reason.
It is a shame that 80% of people in this community can not mod or be bothered to mod, and so they think that the people who do and can mod, should cater to them and act as Tech Support for other peoples mods for compatibility reasons.
My own mods have been uploaded to other sites, not just my Steam Workshop mods, but my mods on Nexus have also been taken and uploaded onto other sites.
Moving on to the mod itself, if you do not wish for the mod to be re-uploaded (I had only re-uploaded the mod myself as it did appear that your account may have been hijacked based on the sudden name change of your Steam Profile, and the way the mod was suddenly changed, usually the mod would just be outright deleted, not kept up with files removed, so that is the only reason I re-uploaded it).
(I have no relation or idea who this person is that is trying to charge for the mod though).
But seeing as the situation is now different, I will remove the mod right away.
I can only say as a fellow Mod creator, I appreciate your time and effort that you have put into, and contributed to this community, unlike the people that demand things be done for nothing.
♥♥♥♥.. Sorry to hear that. That's some grade-A bullcrap the other person pulled. But thank you for when it was here, by far one of my favorites. Best wishes <3
