Question about possible mod?

is there a mod existing or possible to make the planets deeper? (so the unmine-able barrier isnt there or is deeper)

This would be difficult and laggy as f due to how voxel info is stored in octrees, there are already a stupid amount of octrees on large planets, and there are limits to how many arrays can be stored.

Why is there "workshop discussion" when there is no workshop access with NMS?
At least let us use workshop for mods instead of forcing us to go outside of steam and download them from nasty websites.

The workshop sub-forum here was introduced for a brief period before we had true multiplayer. You could upload a copy of your base or download some other player's base and go there and explore the base. It was outside of any save game and just a way for users to actually see that other users did exist and have bases in the game.

Once we had true MP, there was no need for the workshop but they never bothered getting rid of it.
