You might wanna describe which mods you have related. There are a few types of water mods out there by different modders
All you need is a catch block with a crank and rope drum attached to a hook with an empty bucket placed in it.
there is no water in this game and why wolfgar7474 is asking about what Mod do you use that adds water ?
Been a long time since I played but I remember all was easy to read on screen, the quest show in top left corner and tells us exactly what to do.
Because he's asking about how to use the Waterworks mod. It's compatible with Water in Medieval Engineers, so there's not really a compatibility issue.
I don't understand why there's a quest involving the use of a water well when the game has no well in their quest journal. Oh, well. (No pun intended.)
I just watched the video and noticed we have to build one or use the Bp in the description.
I would create a testing world with that Mod only, to see if it can be bugged in only one specific save.
The quest is part of the Waterworks mod - the mod definitely works fine. If all else fails, just place a hook within the clay layer and put the bucket on it. The way the mod works, it will fill up.
Hi Dan, regardless if I play anymore, I still support my mods.
This topic was in workshop topic and it was related to water and lime so the assumption it was a mod.
There are a few mods out there with this type of ingredients including my mods.
I was trying to see if it could of been one of mine or one i contributed to since you were wondering.
I know and thanks for specifying.
It's just that he asked me, on my Workshop item, about why my water well Blueprint was not working ...
Edit
Sorry for the @360Km/h ??? = copy/paste bugged and replaced for "@wolfgar7474"
It took me forever to figure this out, and it's sooooo simple.
The Waterworks mod designates the clay layer as containing "ground water". You can't see it, but it's there. Build a well, either from scratch or drop a nice blueprint down. Make sure there is a working rope drum above the well. Grab a hook and a rope. Attach the rope to the hook and then to the drum. Drop the hook into the well. Use the handcrank to bring the hook up to the top and put an empty bucket into the "tool slot" of the hook. Lower the bucket until it reaches the clay layer. VOILA! You have a bucket of water!
I actually made a very simple cistern in the kitchen of my inn (which is actually AT the clay layer because the inn is built into a hillside). Because I was already IN the clay layer as soon as I put the bucket into the toolslot, before I even lowered the bucket, it filled immediately.
I hope this saves everyone the hours of frustration I suffered (I know, so dramatic!) trying to figure this out.
