If your upload was marked as incompatible, please read this article.


Your submission may get flagged as incompatible temporarily until a review has been conducted. Do not reupload it or ask for a faster review. It may take a few working days until it gets reviewed.


If your wallpaper is a technical guide or just a form of communication with other users, your wallpaper will be marked as incompatible. For guides, please make use of the "Guide" section on Steam:

We will mark uploads incompatible that are falsely submitted as assets.

We have already attempted to minimize confusion about this as much as possible by putting several warnings and alerts into the program. False assets are dysfunctional, other users cannot use them as wallpapers.


Corrupted uploads can cause issues for other users so we are automatically flagging them incompatible to protect users from faulty wallpapers. Wallpaper Engine is not a place for dumping a large number of static images and they may be marked compatible to remove clutter from the Workshop.

"Rate for rate, fav for fav" submissions may also be marked as incompatible for vote manipulation.
