I am a history teacher would like to make a game that my students can play is this a viable option?
I am a history teacher and I am considering getting RPG maker MV with the intent of making fairly simple games that students can play to help review for quizes or just have some fun with. Can I incorporate questions into the game?
Most importantly can you share your game without steam so that I could just give students copies that they can play?

Yes. When a game is completed you deploy it to whatever medium it is intended for. I'm personally only familiar doing this for windows and I put the deployed game and files on a thumb drive to share with other people. You can use text boxes and the "choice" options from the event selections to set up questions and answers. Quite a good idea actually. You don't need steam or RPG Maker itself to run the game after that. Just a strong enough computer with windows.

Yes, in fact, I have already hosted my own games on my own website from MV. I'm not sure if you would have access to an intranet at your school, but Chrome does a good job at reading the HTML5. If you would need a host, let me know and I have been considering revamping my website to do specific MV games. www.guelstie.com

I think it's a great idea and yeah questions could add a lot to the game. Maybe the reward could be some item or weapon or maybe a funny little cut scene.

Maybe the character could say be a time traveler who needs to pass with at least a 90% in his modern day high school so they travel to Rome, Africa, World War 2, etc.

if you really want, you can add fill in the blank. just make a bunch of actors and have it set up to rename each one as an answer that can be checked. However, the entering must be precise if they want it to be correct; so this may destroy every ounce of their ego.

Just run e finished result through whoever necessary, and keep it appropriate. Fun also golden for it to work with classes.
